The aim of UK4u.pl is to publish clear and useful material for Polish people interested in living and working in the United Kingdom. This policy sets out the website’s basic editorial standards.
Publishing standards
- important claims should be based on reliable and, where possible, up-to-date sources;
- official sources take priority in legal, tax, financial and administrative matters;
- articles should distinguish facts from opinions, commentary and the author’s personal experience;
- publication dates and dates of significant updates should be visible;
- headlines should not intentionally mislead readers.
Sources
Where material describes laws, procedures, numerical data or announcements from institutions, we aim to identify the source where possible or direct readers to a place where they can verify the information themselves.
Corrections and updates
We correct significant errors as quickly as reasonably possible. Where a correction changes the meaning of a publication or an important conclusion, information about the update should be visible in the article. Minor language and technical corrections may be made without a separate note.
Errors can be reported to: [TO BE COMPLETED: editorial email address]. The report should include a link to the material and a description of the information that needs to be checked.
Use of artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence tools may be used to support topic research, structure preparation, language editing, translation, summarisation or the creation of draft material. Content prepared with such assistance should be reviewed by a human before publication.
Artificial intelligence is not treated as an independent source of facts. Information of significant importance should be verified against primary sources or other reliable materials. Where content or images have been substantially generated using AI, the website may include an appropriate disclosure with the publication.
Advertising, commercial partnerships and conflicts of interest
Sponsored, affiliate or commercially produced material should be clearly labelled. Advertisers should not influence the content of independent editorial publications. Any significant conflict of interest should be disclosed to readers.
Reader feedback
Constructive feedback and corrections are welcome. Comments may be moderated to remove spam, hate speech, personal data, unlawful content or comments unrelated to the topic.
