Officers from Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW), police and State Protection Service (SOP) met at the ABW’s Counter-Terrorism Centre on 11 October 2026. According to RMF24, the meeting concerned information about a possible attack on Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. This does not confirm that an attack was planned or that preparations had been made to carry it out.
RMF24 cites Karolina Gałecka, spokesperson for Poland’s Ministry of the Interior and Administration, as saying that the meeting concerned information about a “possible attack”. Her statement gives no details that would establish the nature of that information or the extent of any preparations. Nor does it clarify whether the information concerned an online threat, actual activity or several people acting together.
Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the minister responsible for coordinating Poland’s intelligence and security services, also declined to disclose details of the meeting. According to RMF24, he told the Polish Press Agency (PAP) that he could not provide detailed information. The media would be notified if a briefing were arranged; no date was announced.
The key distinction remains between a meeting of security services to discuss a possible threat and confirmation of a planned attack. The spokespeople’s remarks reported by RMF24 confirm the subject of the meeting, but do not establish that an attempted attack took place or how credible the threat to either politician was.
